| Dodge built only 37,300 Chargers in its first year. They featured a single, full-width tail light and hidden headlights. The fastback style was only made for 2 years and this particular Charger was made for running... No power options, no A.C., just the 4 on the floor 383.
Condition Report
Factory tach, seats, headliner, dash, door panels, and carpet are all in very good condition. The driver's side door panel has a small crack in the vinyl - 1 1/2 to 2" long. The trunk is in excellent condition, engine compartment is clean, chrome is in good - very good condition.
Body and frame are straight and dry with minor surface rust. The paint is okay, showing a number of road chips and nicks. The glass is all in good condition. Hub caps are in good condition and all electrics function well.
Since the new owner may have a preference for radials or original straight well tires, the tires were not replaced. They are in fair condition but should be replaced. Rubber hoses were not replaced.
Special Considerations
As the Hemi-engined car prices climb out of sight, these these lower level performance cars are still affordable but are - at the same time - a good investment. This will be a fun car to drive and show. |

| This car is a great example of this 1st year classic performance icon. It's been freshened up from its quiet, long-term rest with a brake recon, tune up [including new wires], battery, fluids changed, gas tank flushed, new starter, and a rebuilt Carter 4 bbl. carb. With relatively low mileage, 60,475 miles, this Charger is ready for the road. It's not a Hemi but this powerful 383 CID, 4 bbl. will move very quickly and you don't have to mortgage the house to make it your own. |
